I was confused.
“But nobody told me I had a serious problem.”
The doctor replied.
“Those findings weren’t a final diagnosis. However, your husband contacted us later when you began experiencing dizziness again.”
Suddenly, I remembered.
Over the past few months, I had often felt exhausted. Several times, I’d experienced a heavy sensation in my chest, but I hadn’t told anyone.
I’d blamed everything on my age and demanding work schedule.
Michael sat beside me.
“Sarah, three months ago, you felt terrible one night. Remember when I suggested calling an ambulance, but you refused?”
I nodded.
“The next day, I called the hospital. I asked how I could convince you to get examined. They couldn’t share your medical information with me, but they strongly advised me to encourage you to see a specialist.”
“And Emily?”
My daughter began crying.
“Mom, I was the one who asked him not to frighten you yet.”
