My Husband Left Me to Drown—But My “Paralyzed” Brother Stood Up and Exposed the Deadly Secret Behind Our Family’s Tragedy

“There’s something else.”

Samuel brought an old laptop from a locked cabinet. Tobias connected the drive, opened a folder, and turned the screen toward me.

The first file contained scanned banking records. The second contained photographs of men entering a private warehouse near the shipyard.

The third was a video.

It showed Garrett sitting in a room I recognized as his father’s old office. Penelope sat beside him, her hand resting on her stomach.

I heard her voice through the laptop speakers.

“Once Rosalind signs the final authorization, the trustees won’t be able to stop us.”

Garrett leaned back.

“She’ll sign. She trusts me.”

“And if she doesn’t?”

He smiled.

“Then we’ll use the other option.”

Penelope looked nervous. “Your father said the accident should look natural.”

“My father is dead,” Garrett replied. “And I’m not waiting another fifteen years to finish what he started.”

The video ended.

For several seconds, no one spoke.
