Daughter-in-Law Kept Her Son Covered for Nine Months – When Grandma Babysat on Halloween, She Finally Discovered Why

I picked up my phone and called Josh.

He answered over loud music.

“Hey, Mom. Is everything okay?”

“Josh, why does Finn have scars on his shoulder?”

The music seemed to fade.

“What?”

“Under his costume. There are marks on his arm and shoulder. What happened to him?”

There was a pause.

“Mom, those are from the accident.”

I sat down beside Finn.

“What accident?”

Another silence followed.

“The bath accident,” Josh said slowly. “When he was six weeks old. Megan told you about that, didn’t she?”

“No, Josh. Nobody told me anything.”

I heard him say something to Megan in the background.

Then he returned.

“Mom, Finn was accidentally burned when Megan was getting his bath ready. We took him straight to the hospital. He was treated, and everything healed. The doctor said some marks might remain.”

I looked at Finn, who had stopped screaming now that I’d loosened the costume.
