Cancer is another possible cause.
The American Cancer Society and CDC both list unexplained weight loss among possible symptoms of colorectal cancer. ([Cancer.org][1])
Unexpected weight loss should therefore be discussed with a doctor, particularly when it occurs alongside digestive symptoms.
6. You’re Unusually Tired or Weak
Fatigue is easy to overlook.
Most people feel tired occasionally. Poor sleep, demanding work schedules, stress, infections, and nutritional problems can all leave you exhausted.
But persistent weakness or fatigue can sometimes be associated with colorectal cancer.
One reason is bleeding. A colorectal tumor may bleed slowly over time, and the blood loss may not be obvious when you use the bathroom. Chronic blood loss can contribute to anemia, which may cause weakness and fatigue. ([Cancer.org][1])
In some cases, anemia may be detected through a blood test before a person realizes there is anything unusual about their stool.
If unexplained fatigue continues, especially if you also have digestive symptoms, speak with your healthcare provider.
