When I refused to cover the bill at a luxury restaurant, he didn’t argue—he threw wine in me. His mother smiled while the entire room fell silent. “Pay, or this ends tonight,” he warned. I wiped my face, reached into my purse… and dialed 911.

But three weeks before, a credit alert at 2:13 a.m. revealed a charge I hadn’t authorized. Another followed. Then I uncovered a hidden account, a forged signature, and numerous luxury purchases connected to Garrett and Vivian.

Tonight hadn’t caught me off guard.

It was a trap.

Garrett leaned nearer, lowering his voice. “Don’t make me say it twice.”

Vivian chuckled. “She’ll pay. She always does.”

I slipped my hand into my purse.

Garrett smiled triumphantly, assuming I was retrieving my black card.

Instead, I took out my phone.

And dialed 911….

Garrett blinked, seemingly offended by the number itself.

“What the hell are you doing?” he snapped.

Still seated, with red wine soaking my cream dress, I calmly held the phone to my ear. “Reporting an assault.”

Vivian stopped smiling.

“Oh, don’t be dramatic,” she hissed. “It was wine.”

“It was a glass thrown in my face after a financial threat,” I said.
