Comparing an entire life with carefully selected photographs is unfair.
Everyone has a different starting point, different responsibilities, and different opportunities.
The Fear of Growing Older
Aging can bring a new perspective on time.
When people are young, the future often feels unlimited.
There seems to be plenty of time to change careers, meet someone, travel, start a family, or discover new interests.
As the years pass, people become more aware that certain opportunities may become harder to pursue.
This realization can produce anxiety.
Some people begin thinking about the years they have already lived rather than focusing on the possibilities that remain.
They may feel pressure to accomplish everything they once imagined.
But growing older does not automatically mean losing the ability to change.
People begin new careers later in life. They return to education, develop friendships, discover hobbies, and build new relationships.
There is no universal age at which someone must stop growing or exploring.
