The story followed Billy Batson, a teenager who could transform into a powerful superhero by speaking the magical word “Shazam!”
The premise combined superhero adventure with lessons about making responsible decisions and helping others. Billy traveled with his mentor, known as the Mentor, encountering different people and situations while learning about morality, responsibility, and justice.
Gray played Billy, while the superhero Captain Marvel was portrayed by Jackson Bostwick and subsequently John Davey. Actor Les Tremayne played the Mentor, helping anchor the series with his character’s guidance and wisdom. <Cite refs={[“turn316933search0″,”turn316933search2”]}/>
