A Return to Country Music

The Osmonds’ careers continued to evolve.

In the early 1980s, Alan, Wayne, Merrill and Jay returned to performing together as a country group.

Their shift toward country music reflected both changing musical tastes and the family’s desire to explore a different direction.

The group achieved several successes in the genre, including the song “I Think About Your Lovin’.”

Alan had previously been involved with the group’s rock-oriented period, but country music offered a different fit for the family’s established image.

The transition also showed the versatility of the original Osmond Brothers.

They were not content to remain frozen in the style that had made them famous a decade earlier.

The Diagnosis That Changed His Life
