Sometimes the explanation is perfectly reasonable.
The property may simply be located in a lower-cost market.
Other times, the low price may reflect challenges that aren’t immediately obvious from photographs.
## Look Beyond the Listing Photos
Real-estate photography is designed to make properties look appealing.
That is not necessarily a bad thing.
But photographs cannot tell you everything.
A room can look spacious because of a wide-angle lens.
Fresh paint can make an older home appear newer.
Furniture can be strategically positioned to make spaces look larger.
Outdoor photos may avoid showing neighboring properties or less attractive areas.
