Shopping for clothes wasn’t exactly Mark’s favorite activity, but he happily agreed to accompany Emily. She had an important business conference the following week and wanted to find a new outfit.

The department store buzzed with life.
Families pushed strollers through wide aisles. Teenagers searched for the latest fashion trends. Soft music drifted through the speakers while employees folded stacks of colorful clothing.
Emily picked out several dresses and disappeared into the fitting room.
“I’ll only be a few minutes,” she smiled.
